Take the next step in your journey toward EFT certification with EFCT Core Skills, an intensive training designed to deepen your expertise in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples.

This Core Skills training is open to mental health professionals who have completed the EFCT Externship and are ready to refine their skills through in-depth instruction, hands-on practice, and individualized feedback. Arizona In-Person Core Skills is a series of four intensive, two-day trainings with a small group of clinicians designed to deepen your practice of Emotionally Focused Therapy. Each session focuses on specific EFT steps and stages and includes:

  • Instruction by certified EFT trainer
  • Live case consultations
  • Experiential exercises
  • Small group supervision

This training follows the standards set by the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). Completion of an EFT Externship is required to attend. Core Skills Training hours may be applied toward ICEEFT certification.

Training Schedule

  • Core Skills #1: May 8th & 9th
  • Core Skills #2: June 5th & 6th
  • Core Skills #3: July 10th & 11th
  • Core Skills #4: August 14th & 15th

Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM with an hour lunch

Total CE Hours: 48

Case Presentation Requirement

To receive a Certificate of Completion, each participant is required to present a 10-minute video case during one of the four weekends.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made 30+ days before the event are refundable minus a $100 admin fee.
  • After that, fees are non-refundable.
  • You may defer your registration to the next AzEFT Core Skills series within one year.

About Rachel Thomas, Arizona EFT Trainer

Rachel Thomas is a Certified EFT Therapist, Supervisor, and Trainer with a full-time practice in Scottsdale, Arizona. She owns Therapy With Heart, a group practice composed of EFT-trained clinicians. As the former President of the AzEFT Board, Rachel now serves as Past President and is known for her passion in helping therapists master EFT and move through learning blocks. She also offers couples intensives, consultations, and training presentations on EFT.
