“…we are never as safe and as strong as when we are sure we are loved.”

At the Arizona Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy (AzEFT), we are dedicated to creating an inclusive and diverse community that honors and respects the unique identities, experiences, and perspectives of every individual. We believe that embracing diversity enriches our community, enhances our understanding of emotional processes, and strengthens our ability to serve our clients effectively. Diversity extends beyond race, ethnicity, and gender and encompasses sexual orientation, age, ability, socioeconomic background, and cultural heritage.
Through continuous education, training, and collaboration, we are committed to ensuring our practices reflect genuine respect for all individuals and that our programs remain accessible to everyone. As we promote emotional healing and relational growth, we remain unwavering in our dedication to equity, inclusion, and social justice. Together, we aim to create a lasting, transformative impact that celebrates the richness of our diverse community and empowers every individual.
At AzEFT we actively integrate our diversity statement into our practices to foster an inclusive and equitable environment. Our ongoing commitment includes:
Our scholarship fund supports therapists from underrepresented backgrounds or those serving marginalized client populations. Through this initiative, we have awarded multiple scholarships, empowering diverse voices within the therapy community.
We periodically distribute a comprehensive Diversity Survey to both members and non-members, inviting honest feedback on how our Board can enhance inclusivity and provide effective training in diversity and EFT.
