Clinically Brilliant, Ethically Current: Ethics Updates for Modern Practice

August 7 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Updates, risks, and realities every modern clinician should know.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Ethics codes and board rules may not change often, but when they do, the updates have a way of arriving right around the time you thought you finally had everything figured out. This workshop explores the updated AAMFT Code of Ethics, proposed revisions to the ACA Code of Ethics, recent AZBBHE rule changes affecting Arizona licensees, key findings from the Third Edition of the Counselor Professional Liability Exposure Claim Report, and the rapidly evolving ethical considerations surrounding the use of AI in mental health practice. Because nothing says “continuing education” quite like realizing your informed consent paperwork may need revisions and your new AI note-taking platform raises more ethical questions than expected. This session translates evolving ethical standards, legal updates, and emerging practice risks into practical, clinically relevant guidance therapists can actually use.
