SUMMARY:In-Person Core Skills Training: Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
DESCRIPTION:Take the next step in your journey toward EFT certification with EFCT Core Skills\, an intensive training designed to deepen your expertise in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples. \nThis Core Skills training is open to mental health professionals who have completed the EFCT Externship and are ready to refine their skills through in-depth instruction\, hands-on practice\, and individualized feedback. Arizona In-Person Core Skills is a series of four intensive\, two-day trainings with a small group of clinicians designed to deepen your practice of Emotionally Focused Therapy. Each session focuses on specific EFT steps and stages and includes: \n\nInstruction by certified EFT trainer\nLive case consultations\nExperiential exercises\nSmall group supervision\n\nThis training follows the standards set by the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). Completion of an EFT Externship is required to attend. This workshop explores the updated AAMFT Code of Ethics\, proposed revisions to the ACA Code of Ethics\, recent AZBBHE rule changes affecting Arizona licensees\, key findings from the Third Edition of the Counselor Professional Liability Exposure Claim Report\, and the rapidly evolving ethical considerations surrounding the use of AI in mental health practice. Because nothing says “continuing education” quite like realizing your informed consent paperwork may need revisions and your new AI note-taking platform raises more ethical questions than expected. He specializes in adult ADHD assessment and treatment and couples counseling\, with extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). \nDr. Cross is Professor Emeritus at Prescott College\, an approved Arizona clinical supervisor\, and a frequent trainer on ethics\, EFT\, and clinical practice.
