Identify and describe at least three EFT change processes and attachment patterns\, and articulate how each informs your moment-to-moment bodily and relational presence with clients. \n2.Observe and track two core emotional themes and interactional cycles in role-play or case exercises\, demonstrating awareness of your own somatic responses and the clients’ relational cues. \n3.Demonstrate two embodied strategies to cultivate safety\, reduce reactivity\, and promote client vulnerability through attuned posture\, tone\, gesture\, or movement in dyadic or triadic interactions. \n4.Practice and reflect on the self-of-the-therapist stance by monitoring personal emotional and somatic reactions during exercises\, applying at least two grounding or centering techniques to sustain therapeutic during exercises. \nABOUT THE SPEAKER \nKathryn Rheem\, Ed.D\, LMFT\, is an internationally recognized expert in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)\, with more than two decades of experience teaching\, supervising\, and practicing EFT around the world. \nShe served as an ICEEFT Certified Trainer for 16 years and is now a Trainer Emeritus\, continuing to help shape the next generation of EFT clinicians. Across her career\, she has worked at the intersection of research\, clinical practice\, and training. \nKathryn’s mission is to help therapists grow their skills with confidence\, clarity\, and heart—while never losing sight of the deep humanity at the core of EFT. Her teaching reflects a deep belief that EFT not only transforms relationships\, but also reshapes how therapists understand themselves\, their clients\, and the healing power of love. \nDiversity Statement: This presentation is informed by the ICEEFT statement and commitment to anti-racism.
